Do you have a Vision Board for your business and/or your life in general?? A written list is one thing, but a visual picture of a concept or goal stays imprinted in your brain. Plus it is more motivational.
You can probably visualize your high school prom event from decades ago and maybe even the dress/tux you were wearing. But can you recall the amount of your grocery total from yesterday? Two reasons: A distinct visual picture vs a number on the cash register. Also, one moment was filled with emotion and one was mundane. Both visual images and emotion light up the right brain. Que Hallelujah Chorus
.
The right brain is the creative, big picture center. It stimulates emotion and excitement, which you may need to take a scary big step.
Some of the goals from this lifestyle board:
Update and renovate some spaces in the home.
Save $250,000 for a retirement account.
Write down and interpret my active dreams.
Write my experiences in a book.
Speak more often.
Get a kayak and improve those skills... same with biking
Find a husband (Yes, and that happened last year in November. Halleluiah Chorus
again.)
Work on fitness. Reach goal weight. (Which I did before the wedding.)
Do hard things.
Since you asked.... here is a pic of the new hubby!!!
Get a sheet of black foam core from Michaels and have the framing department cut it in half. One for your lifestyle goal and one for your business goals. Tack images that inspire you to take action. Magazines work well for colorful pictures. Cut out catchy phrases to describe your intentions.
Put it where you can see it every day and please report back to me what happens next
.I am very serious about the supernatural effects of this fun exercise. It is scientific!! Have a little faith! You take a step or two and God and the universe makes it happen. Don't we all need a little pixie dust sometimes?
